The Great Wall
Though our trip to Chi-Ping highschool, and our homestay with local students was extremely memorable, I don't think I will ever forget my visit to the Great Wall of China today.
After classes we went directly to the Wall, which is about an hour or so from the building where we attend school. Initially, it was difficult to understand the magnitude of the wall. Standing at the base of the green mountains and looking up at the wall only revealled parts of the wall. However, when we got up on the wall, it became very clear why this piece of ancient arcetecture is one of the 7 World Wonders. How could they possibly build something this massive? It truly is amazing. I think a lot of my classmates would agree with me that it would be impossible for me to describe the views from ontop of the wall. Those who wanted to got to climb all the way up to one of the highest towers in the area, and though it was an extremely steep climb on the wall's ramps and stairs, it was 100% worth it. When we finally reached the peak, all of our exhaustion and sore-legs seemed to vanish. To look out on the forest green landscape, and to be able to see the wall hundreds of miles away, weaving around every peak of each mountain is a view I will never forget. All I could hear were kids saying "this is rediculous", or just standing in silence looking off into the view.
I advize everybody to take a trip to the Great Wall, it is truly one of the most spectacular things you will ever see.
