About the Videos

There are a great deal of videos in this unit taken from an actual interview of a uniform-store manager in Japan. There are four major topics in this unit covering: store background, styles and prices, elementary school uniforms, and changes in uniforms over the year.

Please while watching these videos, think about the advantages and disadvantages of having school uniforms, and what makes Japanese uniforms unique. Also, try to place yourself in their situation...What would you do if you had to wear a school uniform...

Activities Packet
